Special to The Real Story
Columbus Middle School teams have each selected a region of Africa to research and will have that information on display for an interactive learning experience. Students will share their findings and information with students, parents, and visitors on Thursday, Feb. 23rd. CMS History classes will rotate through the informational booths and will also get their passports “stamped” during the visit.
This educational program is a result of CMS’ annual School-wide Black History unit. This year, CMS chose the theme “Passport to Africa”. Students will be sharing and leading discussions on the various topics related to their selected region in Africa. Students and visitors will feel like they have really visited Africa, after leaving the display area. Please join us.
